On Friday October 14th over 100 people attended our Annual Gala Ball in the Intercontinental Hotel.
On Friday October 7th the Navy League visited the NASA Madrid Deep Space Communications Complex east of Madrid. This is one of only 3 such centres in the world. The group toured the facility and also explored the Visitors´ Centre.
On September 22nd H.E. Ambassador Kennedy Jawan, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Kingdom of Spain, spoke to us about "Doing Business in Malaysis".
On the 18th July the Navy League held our annual Marín Night to honour the Cadet of the Year from Spain´s Escuela Naval Militar. Our speaker was D. Juan Rodríqez Garat, Admiral Chief of Naval Personnel.
On Tuesday June 14th Ambassador Eduardo Garrigues spoke to us about Bernardo de Gálvez and the book which he has written about him. The book is called "El que tenga valor que me siga."
On June 4th members of the US Navy League toured the battlefield of Jarama, east of Madrid. We toured tunnels and other remnants of the battle there where the International Brigades fought during the Spanish Civil War.
On May 26th/27th the Navy League was in Menorca for our annual commemorations at the Farragut memorial and the Anglo-American Cemetery. A historical marker was also unveiled at Isla del Rey. Amb. James Costos, Adm. James Foggo of the US 6th Fleet attended
On Wednesday May 18th the US Ambassador James Costos hosted our annual May Cocktail Reception at his home. This event honoured the Sailor of the Year and the Marine of the Year.
On Thursday April 21st 2016 Admiral General (Retired) Mr. Francisco Torrente spoke to us on "A Spanish contribution to USA Independence then, now and beyond: a personal view".
On March 17th Krishna R. Urs, the Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy, spoke to us on the topic of "U.S. - Spain Relations".
On the evening of Thursday 25th February the Navy League visited the exhibition on Bernardo de Galvéz in Casa de América. During the visit we learnt about his fascinating life and his (and Spain´s) role in the American Revolutionary War.
On February 18th Vice Admiral (Ret.) Dr. Jose Manuel Sanjurjo Jul, who now manages the S-80 Submarine Program at Navantía´s Cartegena shipyard spoke to us on "Reflexiones sobre el futuro de la Construcción Naval Militar en España"
On January 21st Her Excellency María Mercedes de la Guardia de Corró, the Panamanian Ambassador, spoke to us about the Panama Canal and its role in the construction of a young Republic.
